The Luxor – My Favorite Las Vegas Casino Hotel

The Luxor is just plain old cool. My first trip to Vegas, driving in from California at night, that huge beacon shooting up from the 30 story glass pyramid instantly grabbed my attention above anything else. And I wasn’t disappointed when I visited the Luxor the next day.

There’s the massive Sphinx out front, and then once you’re inside you are in the world’s largest atrium. The guest rooms are all around the outside perimeter going all the way up to the top, and I rode the elevator as high up as I could and then looked around to see if I could catch a glimpse of the inside of one of the the rooms with the slanted glass walls.

In addition to the awesome look and layout, there are many fun things to do outside of the casino. There is a two-story arcade, the tomb and Museum of King Tutankhamen, a great motion simulator attraction, and the very cool Luxor IMAX Theater.

The pool area is quite large, 5 acres in all with four different pools and four Jacuzzis. There is a health club and a full Spa, and even a Wedding Chapel. The 1200 seat Luxor Theater currently (2010) features Blue Man Group. There is also a midnight fantasy show that runs six nights a week. The Luxor is also known for the 19,000 square foot RA nightclub, which features top DJs, nonstop pulsating dance music as well as a sushi and oyster bar and cigar lounges.

There are some awesome dining options at the Luxor. First among them is Isis, the all-you-can-eat buffet which frequently wins Las Vegas’ best. The Sacred Sea Room is an upscale steak and seafood restaurant with a notable wine list. Other restaurants include the Luxor Steakhouse, Papyrus, La Salsa, Hamada of Japan and a 24-hour coffee shop.

There are over 4400 rooms (!) in the Luxor. Personally I would go for one of the rooms in the main Pyramid with the slanted windows. Any of the rooms here are nice however, even the ones in the rear towers. A moving walkway connects the Luxor to the Excalibur, and an overhead “cable liner” connects it with Mandalay Bay.

Las Vegas Casino Hotel Review – Circus Circus – A Great Time at a Great Price

We had decided it was time to take a look at Las Vegas as a place to move to and it did not disappoint. Our car ride was about 6 hours from Southern California. This was a family trip so our friends and their kids went along for the ride. The trip was a bit long, but it was a learning experience. The next time I think we will fly by plane. We booked our hotel reservations online and we got to stay at the infamous Circus Circus hotel where we enjoyed all the pleasures of a great hotel along with all of the entertainment that Las Vegas had to offer and much more. Because we booked out rooms on the internet we saved almost 30% from booking them directly with the hotel itself. Our beds were very comfortable and we slept like babies, which is very rare for me since I am a sensitive sleeper, Plus I have chronic insomnia.

In the afternoon I enjoyed an awesome buffet lunch at the Circus Buffet as they had almost every type of lunch food imaginable from fresh soup to hot slabs of scrumptious Turkey. This was my first time in that hotel and the first buffet I had within the hotel walls and I could honestly say that I never filled my belly as much as I did that first day there. After Lunch we enjoyed the upstairs entertainment with a vivid 4d show that left the kids in awe. Adventuredome has awesome rides that left our hearts beating just a tad bit faster. It felt like we were inside an amusement park yet surrounded by all the lights and glitter of Las vegas.

Dinner time leads us into their famous pizzeria where we had our fill of 2 large size pizza dishes with the works. I am originally from New York City so i consider myself to be a pretty good connoisseur of fine Italian style pizza and I can safely say that this pizzeria passed the grade with me.

Our last day left us with some time to gamble and everyone in my family knows that my game is Blackjack. I stepped up to the plate and promptly won 5 out of 6 hands and then stepped out to play the slots a bit. It was a great time and one of the fewer times That I walked out of Las Vegas being on top. All in all I would say that my stay at the Circus Circus Hotel in Las Vegas was a very positive one that I would love to do again in the near future. Here’s looking at you Vegas.

Casinos, Hotels and Food in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is always amazing and gorgeous, so I think this Las Vegas tour would be interesting and unforgettable, actually it is. I visit this city for three things: sleepless casinos, luxurious hotels and savory food. So let me experience a real Sin City.

Sleepless casinos. Gambling is a pillar industry in this desert city. People all over the world know this city due to its sleepless and sumptuous casinos. You can find penny slots everywhere and high-stakes table games in large-scale casinos. Tourists can go gambling every day and night. May be everyone has a dream to become a millionaire overnight. So millions of people come here to visit this miraculous city. As I am not a gambler, I didn’t spend a penny gambling here. But I was taken in to visit this fascinating place.

Luxurious hotels. Besides its famous casinos, it is also known for the luxurious life. I lived in the MGM Grand and experienced perfect accommodation there. My suites were on the 30th floor in tower one, which has the Starbucks. My room was quiet, clean and comfortable. It said that there were no negative comments at all, actually I could not give them negative comment, either. I liked the huge bathroom that is designed with separate shower and WC. There are lots of space in the main suit. Moreover, there were so many equipments, including crockery, cutlery, fridge, sink and a great wet bar with microwave. Though I only could stay for a short period of time, I wish I could lived for a lifetime. It was such a fantastic place.

Savory food. As a world-famous tourism city, savory food is very important. In Las Vegas, you can eat whatever you like. I ate my dinner at BJ’s Brewhouse. As I have visited this chain one time in California, I think it would be delicious too. Actually, this restaurant in Las Vegas didn’t disappoint me. It offers several kinds of their own beer and other fine beers, but I finally chose Belgians, my favorite beer. I found that its pizza was much delicious than that in California.
